Definition
AI Mentions are references to a business, product, service, organization, person, or other entity within an AI-generated answer. An AI mention occurs when an AI system includes an entity as part of its response to a user's question, regardless of whether it provides a citation or link to a source.
Why It Matters
AI mentions increase a business's visibility in AI-generated answers. If a business is never mentioned, potential customers may never become aware of it during their AI search experience.
Although the factors that influence AI mentions are proprietary, businesses can improve the information available to AI systems by publishing complete, accurate, and well-connected content that clearly explains their expertise, products, services, and relationships.

A user asks ChatGPT:
"Who are the leading companies developing endoscope drying technology?"
ChatGPT includes GI Scientific in its answer.
